Young George travelled treacherous lands
and rough seas to get to Libya, only
to be met
by a poor hermit with a bad report.
"An evil dragon living on the lake has tormented
us for years," he cried,
"and tomorrow our
princess will be his sacrifice."
Immediately George decided to save her.
The next morning he rode out to the lake to
fight the dragon, passing the beautiful princess
on the way. Soon after he clashed with the beast.
The battle was fierce and George fought till he had no strength left. The dragon went for the kill,
but George lunged one last time, spearing the monster beneath his wing. And so the land was set free
from the grip of the dragon, by a man from a far away land.

In honour of his bravery and because he embodies the spirit of England he became
England's patron saint. The name George and Dragon represents England and so
became the name of our cafe, which is a little bit of England in JB.
